Some rumors suggest that Ubisoft is going to reveal their very own battle royale soon and its name is Hyper Scrape.
Hyper Scrape, a battle royale from Ubisoft
Oh boy, is this another battle royale game that my eyes are looking at? Well, this is just a rumor at the moment, but one with a lot of information. Rumors that come with this amount of insight into the game turn out to be true. Add in the fact that it’s quite strange that Ubisoft didn’t try to cash in on the battle royale hype. Yet, that can change, and very soon apparently. Mister Rod “4475 SR & Immortal peak” Breslau took to Twitter to share his knowledge with us regarding Ubisoft and their Hyper Scrape title. What does it look like? A futuristic fast-paced battle royale that integrates Twitch into its gameplay to an insane level. Definitely something that Ubisoft would try to pull off. It does all sound a bit too janky. If you’re streaming the game, viewers can given you speed-ups and health drops. So, what about the people that aren’t streaming? How the hell can that be balanced out or do streamers and non-streamers play in different queues?
Brings nothing new to an oversaturated genre
From what Mister Rod shared with us, a closed beta is coming next week. July 12th is when it’s supposed to be available to the masses. However, the question is, are the people looking for another battle royale? The market for this genre is definitely oversaturated, and this title doesn’t seem like something all that cutting edge. And it’s Ubisoft, and Ubisoft is quite good at making horribly disappointing titles that just want to bleed your wallet dry.
Would you be excited if Ubisoft came out and announced Hyper Scrape?
If anyone is looking for battle royales to play, there are many good ones out there. Some of them, like PUBG, are available on HRK Game for a spectacularly affordable price!
