Super Smash Bros Ultimate Will See Amiibo Getting Made For Returning Fighters

One of the things that made Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS so special was that Nintendo brought an entire lineup of Amiibo just for them. In fact, Amiibo were first announced for Smash Bros, and the more the roster grew, the more the Amiibo’s came out. And they’ve been coming out ever since. Well now, with the announcement of Super Smash Bros Ultimate, may have wondered if Amiibo will continue to arrive for some of the fighters, mainly, the ones that weren’t in the last title.

Sure enough, Nintendo has confirmed that returning fighters (that weren’t in the Wii U/3DS games) will be getting Amiibo. In the article, Nintendo specifically mentioned Ice Climbers and Pichu as two that would be getting the Amiibo treatment.

But, it’s fair to say that all the other Smash Bros returnees will be getting one as well. Including Solid Snake, Pokemon Trainer, Wolf, and Young Link.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate

The Smash Bros Amiibo have always been popular, and with some of these that are sure to release, they’ll be even more popular. A safe bet though is that the Solid Snake one (which is not confirmed but is more than likely) will be a big seller given the state of Konami and the Metal Gear franchise. Though Pokemon Trainer will likely be a big one as well.

Also though, we already have confirmation that the Inkling from Splatoon and Ridley from Metroid will be getting the Amiibo treatment too, as they were shown off at E3 2018. and though the roster isn’t going to be getting too many new characters, the few more that are included are very likely to Amiibo of their own.

All of this just adds to the hype for the game, which was already pretty big, to begin with. Super Smash Bros Ultimate arrives for Nintendo Switch on November 7th.
