It seems that the star of the recently announced Witcher anime movie isn’t going to be Geralt, but his mentor, Vesemir.
As we all know, the Witcher universe is starting to become immensely popular. We have the Witcher games, now we have Netflix’s Witcher TV show. What’s next in the line? A Witcher animated film. Some got excited about this news, others did not. Whatever the case may be, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf will show a brand new threat. But, surprisingly, the one that will deal with this threat won’t be Geralt. Instead, the star of the Witcher anime movie is going to be Vesemir:
“Long before mentoring Geralt, Vesemir begins his own journey as a witcher after the mysterious Deglan claims him through the Law of Surprise.”
This is a story about Vesemir, so I hope they don’t find a way to shoehorn Geralt into the picture. The show director says that this is set way before Vesemir became a mentor to Geralt. The studio that bought us The Legend of Korra and showrunner Lauren Hissrich can do great things with this animated movie. Let’s hope they don’t disappoint.
