The Witcher 3 next-gen upgrade is finally back on track as CD Projekt RED announces that the long-overdue update should arrive sometime later this year.

The Witcher 3 next-gen upgrade got delayed quite a lot. Mostly because CD Projekt had a lot of stuff to fix with Cyberpunk 2077. Many bugs to fix, issues to polish, and so on. Now that they managed to make the game stable, it’s finally time for them to focus again on their magnum opus.
The next-gen upgrade is coming for sure this time, which the team announced via Twitter. It’s coming sometime in the fourth quarter of 2022. Took them quite a lot of time considering the Witcher 3 next-gen upgrade got announced way back in 2020. We were supposed to get it in 2021 but that’s when all the Cyberpunk 2077 problems happened.
Some thought we would never get the next-gen upgrade as CD Projekt said it was delayed until further notice. Quite a scary thing to say, but the update will see the light of day. We still don’t know what’s coming with the update, as CD Projekt never clarified. The Witcher 3 next-gen upgrade comes for free on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X-S, and of course, the PC.

You can get yourself a Witcher 3 PC or Xbox One key on HRK Game for a greatly discounted price. Or you can finally pick up a Cyberpunk 2077 key now that the game is stable and polished.
