Total War: Three Kingdoms Got A New Trailer

We have all been pleasantly surprised by how good Total War: Warhammer II was, but the fans of the franchise have been wondering when would we get the new Three Kingdoms game. Well, a new in-game trailer for Total War: Three Kingdoms has surfaced, and it is looking quite interesting, to say the least. Unfortunately, now that we have a sense of what this title will look like, we won’t also know that we won’t be getting it this autumn, but in spring of 2019.

Total War: Three Kingdoms

The setting for this game is inspired by a 14th-century historical novel called The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, in which you have various heroes with extraordinary abilities. Yes, while this doesn’t follow the typical realism emphasis of the Total War games, it seems that we will be having two modes, one classic Total War mode with your standard general bodyguard units, and one Romance of the Three Kingdoms style where they will be able to take on entire units by themselves.

The trailer shows us the cunning general called Cao Cao, and his “divide and conquer” approach. Judging from the in-game trailer, we are going to have a lot of fun in 2nd to 3rd century China as we battle to see who can be the leader of China. It is a shame that the game was delayed, but the developers probably needed more time to polish everything.
