Total War: Warhammer II The Tomb Kings Gets Massive Gameplay Video

Total War: Warhammer II had a big mission ahead of it. It had to follow-up one of the Game of the Year nominees in the original (and winner in some cases). The mashup of the RTS giant and the lore of the Warhammer universe was very well received upon released, and the sequel endeavored to do the same. Thankfully, it succeeded, and since then the team behind the game have been working hard to continue bringing new stuff into the game.

Later this month, they’re continuing that journey via The Tomb Kings, an interesting content expansion that brings a new faction into the mix via the titular Tomb Kings. These undead lords command legions of the undead, and will spread their power and terror across the land. What makes this most interesting of all though is that there won’t be a supplementary campaign attached to the Tomb Kings, instead, this will be a pure gameplay addition that has story elements.

Eurogamer.net got their hands on Total War: Warhammer II: The Tomb Kings, and released a massive gameplay demo of it. Check it out below.

The Tomb Kings will get to go into battle in all modes of the game, including the Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaign modes. But what separates the Tomb Kings from others isn’t just their skeletal units and other undead abilities, but rather, that you can have the choice between four distinct leaders of your armies. You can either be Settra the Imperishable, Khalida, Khatep and Nagash’s former lieutenant, or the malignant Arkhan the Black. These four leaders all have something very special to offer their armies should you take them up on the option to lead.

The Tomb Kings is set to arrive January 23rd, if you’re looking for your next great experience in the game, this is it.
