Wargroove, Chucklefish’s turn-based strategy game just got a release date, and an awesome anime-style cinematic.
Chucklefish developed many wonderful games that use retro 2D graphics, one of them being Starbound, a game in which you get to explore many planets. Wargroove is a strategy game that uses turn-based combat and map altering to provide an exciting and engaging experience. Many people have found similarities between this title and AdvancedWars, if you know what that game is.
Commanders are the stars of the game, and there are over 12 of them, where each has their own personality and special motivation. One of these is a freaking dog, so we are already in love with this game.
Along with a release date, the game also got an amazing anime-style cinematic which showcases the clashes between various Commanders. It’s quite amazing how this cinematic looks like a top-notch anime opening, and we love it.
The game is coming on February 1st for the PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. It looks like it’s going to be an amazing turn-based strategy game that features some pretty special game mechanics. We’re looking forward to playing some quick rounds against our friends.
