The Warhammer: Vermintide 2 – Winds of Magic has a release date and it’s coming with a new enemy faction and new challenges.
Tired of slaughtering rats in Vermintide 2? Do not worry, you will soon be able to kill other kinds of filth with the Winds of Magic expansion. It’s also introducing a new kind of game mode that carries the same name. Eight Winds of Magic will test your skills with their new sets of challenges and increasing difficulties. These unique weaves have a chunk of an existing adventure map, a specific objective, a finale, an increasing difficulty and Winds that affect the entire map and modify it to a certain extent.
Winds of Magic is coming with higher difficulty settings, a raised level cap, and 5 brand new weapons. Kruber is getting a heavy spear, a spear and a shield go to Kerillian, Bardin can throw a new set of throwing axes, Sienna will be able to crush her foes with a flaming flail, and Saltzpyre gets a billhook.
The new Faction is called the Beastmen. While they do have animalistic characteristics, do not mistake these things for mere wildlife. They possess the intelligence of a man mixed in with the nature of an animal. Deceptive and merciless, these warriors despise order and reason and accept Chaos completely.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 doesn’t get a lot of expansions, but once they arrive, they capture the very nature of this universe. Players say that it’s the best Warhammer in terms of capturing the brutal essence of the Warhammer spirit. Winds of Magic looks dark and cruel, so the reception is already exceptional on the cinematic trailer.
