STRAFE offers a roguelike first person shooter with a twist, bringing hand-crafted rooms linked together at random and full levels for every playthrough. Running down mounds of enemies with a hail of bullets sound good? then you're in the right place to slaughter your foes across four locations in space. Keep in mind however, that there are secrets lurking around every corner, with plenty of mechanics to be discovered.
The story of STRAFE sees players taking the role of a Scrapper, who is sent on mission impossible at the edge of the galaxy. There will only be one life for you to lose as you traverse the harsh surroundings of the game, so returning after dying will alter your experience entirely.
STRAFE certainly isn't for the faint-hearted! Courtesy of ÜBER-GORE technology, enemies will explode before your eyes in gushes of blood, leaving a permanent stain caused by yourself. If you're feeling especially sadistic, use this trait to create your own death art to mark your territory across the unforgiving terrain.
What makes the shooter unique is endless changing levels, which sees randomly-generated levels which are not only often differing, but are also wildly unpredictable. There will be rooms, power ups, enemies, monster closets and secrets moving around once you make your glorious return from death. What really makes STRAFE appealing too is the blistering pace in which it's set, with the action coming at you thick and fast to turn you to liquid and rupture any part of you deemed necessary.
