In this game, you play as an all-new assassin character Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who is a noble as well as an assassin, and the game being set during the Renaissance, where new wonders and inventions are to be had, but also, new dangers are arising.
Ezio must rise to be the greatest of all assassins in order to avenge the betrayal his family has suffered. You'll go up against the greatest of the Italian families in the time period in order to figure out what happened, and what to do next. But that's not to say Ezio isn't special himself, you'll find out his personality and compassion as you go through each mission. And with each step he and you take, you'll get closer to your goals.
15th century Italy is beautiful rendered in Assassin's Creed II, and you'll find that not only are the landscapes accurate, but historical figures roam the streets, such as Leonardo Da Vinci.
