FIFA 18 is a football simulation video game and the 25th installment in the FIFA series. It was developed and published by Electronic Arts and was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Switch on September 29th, 2017. Christiano Ronaldo, the Real Madrid star, appears on the cover of the regular edition, while Ronaldo Nazario appears on the cover of the Icon Edition.

FIFA 18 uses the Frostbite 3 game engine. The Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions of the game feature the continuation of a story-based mode that was originally in FIFA 17. The mode was called "The Journey: Hunter Returns" in the previous game. As a sports video game that simulates association football, FIFA 18 features 52 fully licensed stadiums from 12 countries, as well as 30 generic fields for a total of 82. The series has all 20 Premier League stadiums in it. The commentary in the game is being done by Alan Smith, Martin Tyler, Geoff Shreeves, Alan McInally, and Mike West. The game has the third tier of Germany’s Bundesliga called the 3. Liga. The Iceland national football team, the Saudi Arabia national football team, the Turkish Super League, and the men’s and the women’s national New Zealand teams are all featured in the game.

A new feature in the game is Quick Subs, which EA Sports implemented so that the players can make a substitute when the ball goes out of play. The Career Mode also got some improvements. Players can now witness interactive transfer negotiations, and you can even see your new signings as they get shown in the cutscenes.
