Man, they never listen when people tell them that AI is not the future of humanity, but the death of it. And in AI War Fleet Command, that nightmare has come true in the worst way possible! You must lead the resistance against the AI overlords. You'll always been outgunned and outmanned, but that doesn't mean that you can't win, that just means you have to be smart not to lose.
In AI War Fleet Command, humanity has already fought its war against the machines -- and lost. AI death squads stand watch over every planet and every wormhole, the few remaining human settlements are held captive in orbiting bubbles, and the AIs have turned their attention outward, away from the galaxy, to alien threats or opportunities unknown.
You lead a small group of survivors that have limited means to advance their effort, but enough to battle on. The AI subcommanders will fight you to the death when they see you -- but your glimmer of opportunity comes from quietly subduing those subcommanders and advancing without alerting the overloards.
Your ships are much faster than the AI's. You have safe AI routines to automate defenses and mining outposts. You have production techniques that can churn out fully-outfitted unmanned fighters in seconds. It's not much, but it may be enough. Your mission is to use the forces you have, expand throughout the galaxy, and then slowly but surely take out the AI cores that house the overlords and take back your planet.
You have to be smart, you have to be careful, and you can't alert the AI, but if you make it, you'll be able to go home again.
