Visual novel games are a niche franchise in video games, but that being said they have a strong and passionate following, and it allows them to create in-depth stories that major AAA companies likely wouldn't do with their own titles. For in these games, characters and stories are the most important thing, and gameplay is relegated to certain choices and decisions and maybe some other things. Take for examples, Amnesia Memories, a visual novel that is much more than meets the eye.
For in this game, you play as a young woman who has woken up with her memories all gone. Seems basic right? Well, then you're told your entire life will depend on picking one of five guys to be your love interest, and then having to live out the life with them and see if you made the right choice, or are soon to be ended because of it. See? Not so simple.
The twist here though is that no matter who you pick, the game and world will change based on your choice. And characters you see in one role in one world won't be the same if you play the game again and choose another man. What this allows is for 20+ different endings that will make you want to go back and see what other lives await you.
Your choices and decisions will affect your relationships, and you can have bad endings if you're not careful. So be mindful of what you do, and whatever you do, don't let on that you have Amnesia.
