The Arma series brought military shooters to new areas of combat, brought realism that is still respected to this day, and brought a freedom that gamers have appreciated for years. But it all had to start somewhere. And that "somewhere" was Arma: Cold War Assault. Once known as Operation Flashpoint, this shooter singlehandedly became one of the best shooters on the market, earning numerous awards and starting a revolution that has continued to this day. Now, you'll get to relive the game that started it all in this perfect remake of that game.
Arma: Cold War Assault takes you to the time where the world flirted with destruction: The Cold War. The effects of World War II hanged over the heads of all, and through it came the fear of war starting all over again. For soldier Victor Troska, he went back to his island of Nogovo to try and get away from the nightmares that the great war had brought to him. But peace did not last, and now the military is on his island.
In this 20-mission story campaign you'll guide Victor and squads of men across various terrains and situations as you try and free your island from the military that wants to take it. With over 40 authentic vehicles to command, there's a lot of ways to get around and get to where you need to go, or even dropping some vehicles on your enemies.
Arma: Cold War Assault brings a massive battlefield for you to go through, just be careful, else you'll be caught off guard by what else might be there.
