Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a side-scroller RPG in which we play as an orphan that has an alchemist curse that slowly turns her body into a crystal. It was developed by ArtPlay and published by 505 Games on June 18th, 2019.
Koji Igarashi is the brilliant mind behind this side-scroller that has a big focus on exploration. Fight your way through a castle infested with vicious demons and slay its master in order to save both humanity and your own life!
Imagine all of the best parts of the Metroidvania genre merged together into one exhilarating and moving experience. You are Miriam, a child that bears an alchemist's curse that is crystallizing her body slowly, but surely. Enjoy expertly crafted gameplay that comes packed together with a story that features gothic dark fantasy elements. Witness intense story cut scenes and interactions with NPCs that have fully voiced lines.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has three playable characters, incredible amounts of weapons and spells which can be upgraded, leveled up, and visually customized in distinct ways. Will you be able to overcome the obstacles in front of you as you make your way to your old friend that is more crystal than human at this point?

The recently released Classic Mode hides a secret...within the update is a more difficult mode called “1986”. Classic Mode is an homage to the classic games of yesteryear, when games were 8-bit and controllers were analog. One mistake and you’re sent back to the beginning of the level with one less life to lose. Lose enough and it’s Game Over. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33031726/405c8550b6a67500f699eb3f63aa94286e877c54.jpg 1986 takes things to a new level by restricting Miriam’s abilities within the mod...

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's first post-launch DLC expansion has landed on iOS and Android alongside three new modes. These very welcome additions flesh out this already content-packed spiritual successor to the classic Castlevania games. The paid DLC pack pits you against Bloodstained and Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi in a battle for some sweet loot, including a fancy new whip sword and power shard. If you quite fancy taking on poor Koji, you can grab the 'Iga's Back Pack' DLC for $...

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's long-awaited Classic Mode, which introduces five retro-inspired levels, is out today on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Switch, as part of a free new update that also brings a Kingdom: Two Crowns crossover. Classic Mode first surfaced as a stretch goal in Bloodstained's 2015 Kickstarter campaign, and although its target was met, developer ArtPlay's focus on remedying Bloodstained's troubled Switch port meant the mode was still missing in action as late as las...
