Reaving through hordes of nightmares isn’t the only thing your boomerang is good for: once thrown, you can slingshot directly to it, preserving momentum and throwing yourself through the air. Slow down time and use well-aimed and well-timed throws to get around, above, and behind your foes. Speed is everything, and only the nimblest boomerang-er will survive…

Fight otherworldly forces and look cool doing it. Impress the boomerang with stylish tricks and it’ll grant you stranger powers — powers that’ll let you defeat the forces of the depths with greater ease. Kaspidae smiles upon you and your killer moves…

They creep and crawl from crevices... swoop and dive from the treetops… and spray nasty bile at you from all angles. Keep your wits about you - nowhere is safe. Whatever you do, don’t stand still, or you’ll surely be consumed...

Fight your way through the bowels of ruined civilization undone by these creatures of nightmare and stop them spreading to the rest of your world. Something lurks deep underneath these ruined halls, spewing corruption… can you defeat whatever it is? And even if you can… will that really be the end?

Millipede friend.

Thanks to everybody who played Boomerang X in our first week! Thanks as well to everyone who provided feedback and bug reports. This is our first Boomerang X patch. It is a quick one, and we have more coming soon that will take a little longer to be finalized. In this update, we focused on three major categories: bugs, quality of life improvements, and a tiny bit of balance. Bugs Fixed a stuttering issue that was mostly visible on high refresh rate monitors Special thanks for Jinglebuns and holo...

It's out. We made it. This is the spot which the X marks. For two years, we have been stuffing so much attention, effort, and weird trash into this game that it's a little disorienting to be out of trash to give. Boomerang X is the first commercial game coming out of our studio, and we're incredibly excited for everyone to finally see what we've been up to for so long. As always, we'll be on the lookout for feedback and bug reports, so let ...

There are a lot of retro first-person shooters around at the moment, but relatively straight recreations of Quake don't interest me. Boomerang X gets at the spirit of those games with a design that's its own. It's also coming out on July 8th, and there's a new trailer below. Read more

RPS fell hard for Devil Daggers, naming it our game of the year back when, but one of the most common criticisms from the "not for me" crowd was that it lacks a sense of progress. Try Boomberang X, then. It's a first-person arena shooter with escalating waves of greebly enemies and a focus on a single weapon, but you unlock new abilities and move to new areas in between fights. There's a demo available now. Read more
