When it comes to racing games, few enact the style and speed of the Burnout franchise. And now, one of the biggest games of the franchise has just gotten a massive boost in terms of content and joy. The Ultimate Box is here.

Paradise City is the largest and most dangerous setting yet for the best-selling Burnout series, which is actually saying something. The massive setting gives players an open-ended world to explore, as they race their vehicles through hundreds of miles of roads and underground passages with a great variety of cars to choose from. Speed through the streets from event to event, racking up points that are saved to your Paradise City driver’s license. Earn the vaunted “Burnout” license by smashing through billboards, jumping ramps, and sustaining crashes with the improved damage system. You want to be the best? You have to prove you can be it.

Now, as for what makes the Ultimate Box so special, it features all of the great gameplay and modes of the original game, as well as added enhancements especially for the PC. Now you can cruise the streets of Paradise City at any time with the new Day/Night time cycles. The Ultimate Box also includes motorcycles for an all-new thrill ride. With 70 new motorcycle-specific challenges for you to partake in. Two bikes are available at the start, including the FV1100 and Nakamura Firehawk V4, with additional rides that can be unlocked or downloaded. There's also a dynamic weather system that features a variety of new conditions. So if you want the ultimate experience get the Ultimate Box.

While all online functionality will cease on platforms running the original version of the game (that's Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, as well as anyone playing the Xbox 360 version through Xbox One backward-compatibility), offline elements will still remain accessible. Addi...

Years ago I worked at a cinema with this fellow usher called Jess. Jess was amazing and wise and she worked the popcorn stand, and she worked it in a very particular way. She spent hours and hours there every day, ignoring customers and rooting through the depths of the popcorn, head bowed, a scowl of deepest concentration on her face. It was always the sweet popcorn that held her attention, and rightly so. What she was looking for was the rare, one-in-a-million piece of popcorn that had far mor...
