The wild west beckons, and you must be read to draw at the drop of a hat. For if you don't, bad men won't be so hesitant to shoot you down. Call of Juarez takes things to the wild west with a tribute game that looks and feels like an old western film, with the exception that you are the gunslinger, and your choices affect how the story goes. Are you ready to uphold the law?

But you're not a sheriff, actually, you're a bounty hunter, one who is contracted to take down some of the biggest outlaws the west has ever known. And you might know some of their names, like Billy the Kid, Jesse James, and so many more. You're not just being a part of history, you're actually living it, and giving a voice and spirit to the legends that the United States was built off of in many ways.

Wield your pistol and use it how you will as you travel across the land to find these notorious outlaws and take them down before they try to do the same to you. Gun battles are key here in Call of Juarez Gunslinger, so you best be used to fighting in them, because they will keep coming.

To better equip you for what's coming, you will be able to craft your bounty hunter with the skills you think are worthy in a fight. Pick wisely though, as it could settle your fate.

So put on your pistol and your hat, and go dispense some justice.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PC on November 5, Rockstar has confirmed. That's big and welcome news for those of us who have spent months longingly watching videos and gifs of Rockstar's open-world cowboy RPG. That's still about a month away, though, but if your trigger fingers are already itching there are a bunch of good western games to tide you over while you want. You might not find animals you can realistically skin in this list, or long monologues from gruff men on hor...

Techland's cowboy game Call of Juarez: Gunslinger could be about to make a comeback - of some kind. First came an image of Call of Juarez: Gunslinger on the series official Facebook page, along with the provocative slogan "legends never die"; and then, moments ago, a short video appeared with a message for Rockstar's upcoming cowboy mega-blockbuster Red Dead Redemption 2. "Silas Greaves has something to say to Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang," said the trailer blurb. Read more…

A true western Having only heard bad things of the previous call of juares titles, i steered clear of this title for a while... that was a mistake. When i finally picked up the game i was surprised as to how entertaining this game was, i felt like playing through the perfect spaghetti western, it has it all classic hilbilly cowboys, injuns, standoffs, dynamite and much more, and i loved every second of it. There is also a challenge game mode that takes place throughout the different levels of the game, the gamemode is challenging but very completable. Other than the challenge mode, and hidden objects in the game i didn’t find the greatest replay value in the game, also the game itself is very short compared to the amazing gameplay. The story of the game is a quite standard western, story with an obvious, but very likeable surprise in the end, the storytelling however is absolutely amazing, told mainly by the loveable main character and interrupted here and there by some surrounding folk. so all in all the game is surprisingly good, but too short for it’s own good.
