Buy your Dishonored Steam key and become a supernatural assassin driven by a need for vengeance. With Dishonored's versatile combat system, you can use your imagination to eliminate your opponents as you combine supernatural talents, weapons, and odd technologies at your disposal to achieve victory. Under cover of darkness, track down your adversaries and tackle them head-on with your weapons dangling. The fate of each mission is determined by the decisions you make during the operation.

The story of Dishonored

The setting for Dishonored is Dunwall, an industrial whaling metropolis where odd steampunk-inspired technology and paranormal forces thrive in the shadows alongside human beings. You were once the Empress's most loyal bodyguard, and you've earned your place in history. After being falsely accused of her death, you go on to become a famed assassin, your only identity being the creepy mask that has become your calling card. While the city is under siege from a plague and is ruled by a corrupt government equipped with industrial technologies, dark powers conspire to bestow upon you skills that are much beyond those of the average person - but at what cost? While the reality behind your betrayal is as hazy as the waters around the city, you can rest assured that the life you previously had is no longer in your possession.

Dishonored Key Features

Innovate and improvise always

Adapt your approach to each assassination to suit your own personal style of play. Use shadow and sound to your advantage to sneak through levels undetected by your opponents or confront enemies head-on when they react to your aggression to progress farther in the game. As you go through the levels and destroy your enemies, you can use the flexible battle system to mix your abilities, supernatural powers, and gadgets in new and inventive ways. Make use of your improvisational and innovative skills to define your playing style.

Action with a Sense of Purpose

The universe of Dishonored reacts to your actions in the game. Choose between moving like a ghost fighting corruption or showing no mercy and leaving a trail of devastation in your wake. Each mission will have a different outcome depending on how you approach it; your approach will determine this.

Supernatural Prowess

Take use of teleportation to sneak up on your targets, possess any living creature, or even stop time itself to plan otherworldly killings! Incorporating your arsenal of supernatural skills and weapons into one cohesive strategy opens up even more options for overcoming hurdles and eliminating targets. The game's upgrading system lets players gain mastery over lethal new skills and clever gadgets as they progress through the game.

Unique and Complex Level Design

Enter a universe created by Half-Life 2 art designer Viktor Antonov that is entirely unique. You'll be transported to a steampunk city where industrial and the supernatural mingle, resulting in an atmosphere filled with intrigue. The world is yours to explore at your leisure.

It looks like Dishonored and Prey developer Arkane Studios is hiring up for a new game. A suite of job listings for the company's teams in both Lyon and Austin have shown up recently, with several directly mentioning an unannounced project. As pointed out on Twitter by MauroNL, two out of three job listings at Arkane Lyon mention that the studio "is seeking talented to join u...

The Dishonored games were great—not perfect by any means, but very much the kind of thing I'd love to see more of. Sadly, that's not going to happen anytime soon, and may not happen at all, as Arkane lead designer Ricardo Bare told VG247 that the series may or may not be back.  "I can’t say definitively what might happen down the road, anything could happen, but is resting for now," Bare said.    The good news is that if Dishonored is finished, it...

Remember that time Luke Skywalker went bad in a Star Wars comic book? Imagine the Star Wars movies ending with Luke falling to the dark side. The "bad" ending would never happen in the big budget movies, but someone has definitely written it. Imagining those "what ifs" is what fan fiction is for. Videogames, though, don't have to leave their alternate history storytelling up to the fans. They can embrace those doom-and-gloom endings with branching paths and multiple en...

Spoilers follow for Dishonored and Dishonored 2. Delilah Copperspoon—servant, painter, playmate to a young Empress, then witch, usurper and Empress herself—is first introduced in Dishonored’s two-part DLC, The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches. In Dishonored 2, Delilah returns to Dunwall Tower with one mission: take back what’s yours.  While Dishonored opens with Jessamine’s assassination, and Death of the Outsider ends with the removal of the Outs...

Which games would make great movies or TV shows? That's the question we've put to the PC Gamer staff in this week's PCG Q&A, and almost all of us preferred the idea of TV series to films (perhaps because game movies are destined to be dumpster fires forever). Let us know your suggestions in the comments, too! Andy Kelly: a Silent Hill anthology show The cursed town is different for every sinner who's lured to it, and I think that's a perfect setup for a series of sta...
