Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is a standalone game in the praised Dishonored series. This time the target is the god-like figure that Billie Lurk and Daud find responsible for a lot of chaos that occurred in the Empire, the Outsider.
Once again you will assume the role of a supernatural assassin, this time it's Billie Lurk, who is reunited with her mentor Daud, and you two will try to work together to kill the most elusive target in the world.
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider has all the signature gameplay that the previous games had, so expect intense and brutal combat systems, interesting level designs, and compelling storytelling. This is the perfect game for people new to the Dishonored series, while also providing lots of explanations and story expansions to longtime fans of the series.
Billie Lurk and her old mentor, the fabled assassin Daud, will try to assassinate the Outsider, while exploring Karnaca, facing cunning foes, discovering cults and ancient powers, and battling powerful new enemies. You will reveal the mystery of the Outsider as you go through the story, and the decisions that you make on your journey will alter the world around you.
As in all Dishonored games, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider offers you two ways of playing the game: the stealthy approach or the violent approach. Your supernatural abilities can be used to sneak past your enemies, or you can use them to tear them apart and leave no witnesses alive. All sorts of gadgets and weapons are also available to you, so use your creativity when you're doing your assassinating.
While you're on your quest to kill the Outsider, you will face new enemies such as the immortal Envisioned, the ruthless Sisters of the Oracular Order, and the new Clockwork Soldiers.

Viktor Antonov hasn't built a world like this before. The games you know him for are bounded and largely linear. Every tiny detail has been touched by a human hand in Half-Life 2's City 17 or Dishonored's Dunwall, striking virtual places which Antonov has helped colour with particular social histories and inscribed with visual techniques that quietly guide the player to the next checkpoint. That's also true of other games that he's been involved with over the past few years, such as Wolfenstein:...

There is a saying in architecture that no building is unbuildable, only unbuilt. Structures may be impossible in the here and now, but have the potential to exist given enough time or technological development: a futuristic cityscape, a spacefaring megastructure, the ruins of an alien civilisation. However, there are also buildings that defy the physical laws of space. It is not an issue that they could not exist, but that they should not. Their forms bend and warp in unthinkable ways; dream-lik...

Excellent stealthy-stabby sequel Dishonored 2 and its also-excellent standalone expansion Death Of The Outsider have followed in the steps of other games late in their lives and removed Denuvo DRM. Arkane and Bethesda likely figure that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar – those who buy the game and provide a Bethesda store or launcher login will get a pair of new (if minor) perks. You get a Disho-noired black, white & red graphics mode and the option to replay any mission wi...

It's easy to underestimate the humble door. You open it, you go through. Sometimes, you must find the key first, and for many games, that's the whole extent of the player's interactions with doors. They're something to get past, something that cordons off one bit from the next bit. A simple structural element, of special interest to level designers, but not the ones who turn the knobs. And yet, the fundamental nature of doors that makes them seem so mundane also imbues them with a kind of magic....
