SPAZ 2 is here with another thrilling sandbox set in space filled with zombies, allies, factions, empires, and now a Sandbox Mode. The game was developed and published by MinMax Games Ltd. on November 7th, 2017.
After the events of the first game, the zombie threat got neutralized, but the galaxy has been ravaged. Fuel is hard to come by, infrastructure has collapsed, and scavenging is the only way to survive. AI captains found in space have the same options as the player, who isn't special in any way. In order to keep growing stronger in a place so obscure and desolated, everyone needs to take from others. This is a ruthless galaxy where only the strong and the capable get to survive. Old friends will become fodder, factions will either form or split, and the player won't get any unique benefits that protect you from this cruel world.
SPAZ 2 has combat, exploration, faction building, ship construction, tactics, and more. Once you engage an enemy in battle, everything goes. Ships are created from modular and randomly generated parts. If you see something on an enemy ship that you think will be a good addition to your own spacecraft, tear it off them and pick it up with the tractor beam. The strong will create powerful factions that let them defend conquered territories, while weaker ones will resort to bandit activities. But, once a dark threat emerges, everything will change.
SPAZ 2 has 200 persistent Captains that have the same capabilities as the player, a galaxy that is filled with complex AI that does its own thing, regardless of what the player is doing, faction building, modular parts for spaceships, a physics-based 3D environment where everything can be destroyed, brutal ship battles, and the freedom to do whatever you wish!
