The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Base Game

This product requires the base game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Steam in order to play. You can not run this product without this game.

There are many dangers within the realm of Skyrim. For it is a land that has been molded by time, and things have adapted to what the terrain requires them to be. Even the most stalwart of warriors know that danger can lurk around every corner, and they must be ready to fight at any moment. But now, Skyrim is about to unleash an ancient evil until the world. And with its rise comes a choice that will affect the world itself...will you join this evil, or will you fight it? This is Skyrim: Dawnguard.

Lord Harkon has returned, and with him an army of vampires that are willing to slay all that get in their way. To fight them, the Dawnguard must be reassembled, and with their abilities and weapons, they'll fight the darkness that is plaguing the land of Skyrim.

However, there is a twist in this tale, for you will find on your quest a vampire named Serana, and her father is Lord Harkon. You will escort her to safety, and be given a choice: Join Harkon, or leave and become enemies.

These two diverging paths are what make Dawnguard so special. For you can either become a literal vampire, or, you can join the ranks of the Dawnguard and become something special. Each path has its own unique story, each path gives you new quests and weapons to use, and each ends the way you choose it to end.

So, will you fight for the light? Or will you embrace the dark?

If the Video Game Awards are actually an awards show, and not just a keynote for promoting upcoming games, then the big news from last night was The Walking Dead: The Game. Eminently quotable analyst Michael Pachter said before the show that if this title, a downloadable self-published game, took home Game of the Year, he'd eat his hat. To his credit, Pachter later tweeted out a request for one, presumably to consume. But the surprises don't just stop there. The Walking Dead won Game of the Year...
