Assassin’s Creed Origins Patch 1.1.0 Arrives Today

Patches are a wonderful thing in the video game world, for in the right hands, patches can fix many woes that games have, as well as add new features and modes that can further extend the playing experience. If you don’t believe us, take Assassin’s Creed Origins as a perfect example. The game was meant to be a true “rebirth” of the Assassin’s Creed series, and thus, their patches and updates are vital to keeping the game relevant. And as Ubisoft notes on their blog, Patch 1.1.0 will do just that, and, it arrives today.

Key among the improvements of the game is the inclusion of a brand new “Nightmare Difficulty”. Given the title, you can likely expect the greatest challenge the game has to offer. Or something pretty close, a new difficulty mode could come later.

But, that’s not the only major addition, the Arena has a new “Horde Mode” that’ll test your skills against unrelenting enemies, so be ready for another challenge.

Or, if you’re still looking for a challenge, there is a new option to actually level up the enemy NPCs in the game. Through this “scaling” feature, you can actually level up your opponents so that they’re literally on your level. But, you can’t lower their natural level, sorry, you can’t make the game easier.

Naturally, as this is a patch, there are a ton of bug fixes and adjustments that game has made. For example, Ubisoft has improved the stability of Assassin’s Creed Origins, thus making it more reliable. The textures and graphics have also been improved so that certain distanced items and textures come through more clearly. Even the cinematic transitions in levels have had work done to them, as they’ll now appear more smooth.

Be sure to check out the full breakdown of the patch notes, that way you don’t miss a thing.
