Fortnite Cross-Play Content Appears on PS4 and Xbox One

A few months ago, Epic Games found themselves in trouble when it transpired that they had left cross-platform play on in Fortnite. It appears that they have done so once again, with users on Reddit claiming that there are PlayStation 4 exclusive skins being found in the Xbox One version of the game.

One example of this is a female Constructor class skin, which is usually a PS4 exclusive, though it can be found in the Xbox One lobby in-game. It’s more than likely that this was an accident, then some may suggest that it could be Epic’s way of trying to get Sony to finally concede to cross-play between the two consoles, though this is very unlikely.

Sony often find themselves subjected to criticism over not wanting to play ball where cross-play with Microsoft is concerned, and this potential accident only serves to put more pressure on them to cave in. Sony has been criticized for not being open to cross-play in recent years, with two particular titles being Rocket League and Minecraft.

Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The popular battle royale mode is also available with the game, and can be played for free.

New Injustice 2 Update Brings Superman Premier Skin
A brand new update for Injustice 2 has landed and it brings a new Superman skin into the game.

The new Superman skin is called the Bizarro Superman and it is a premier skin.

The trademark feature of the Bizarro Superman skin is the reversed ‘S’ on his chest. The character also looks zombified in many ways and has bright blue laser eyes. You can see an example of the skin’s appearance in the image above.

Some of the moves on the new Bizarro Superman skin have changed when compared to the standard Superman. For example, one move will now burn opponents instead of freezing them. His laser beam attack now produces icy, cold damage instead of red, hot solar damage.

The Super ability of the Bizarro Superman skin remains the same as the standard Superman, but there are a number of other small changes to some other skills that are available to both Superman and Bizarro Superman.

The Bizarro Superman also has new voice lines. The lines include things like “You Bizarro new best friend,” “Bizarro need not worst friend,” and “Why am you so polite!?”

While Bizarro Superman’s ability to speak may not be the best, his ability to pummel enemies is certainly up with the best.

The new Bizarro Superman skin was introduced in an update that predates the upcoming new character DLC, which will introduce Starfire to Injustice 2.

Someone looked at an XBox One controller recently and said, “You know, if you squint and hold it to the light, the silhouette kind of looks like a Stormtrooper head.” Then he thought, “Hey, I know how I can make money!”

Extreme Consoles is a company based in the UK that restyles existing consoles, controllers and handhelds with custom paint jobs. Their most recent offering is an XBox One controller skin that turns the thing into a Stormtrooper head, just in time for the release of Star Wars Battlefront, an anticipated shooter this holiday season.

Microsoft seems to be okay with the product — better than okay. Phil Spencer, boss of all things XBox, tweeted a photo of the controller this morning, feeling more than amused. A bigger question is what Disney might think. Nobody tell them.

As odd a concept as it may sound to some, had the 1991 deal between Nintendo and Sony gone off without a hitch, not only might the PlayStation brand as we know it today not even exist, but gamers the world over might be able to play titles like Super Mario 3D World and Wii Sports on Sony-made hardware. Instead, with Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft all vying for our hard-earned cash, console gamers are faced with a choice: choose a platform to invest in or live on nothing but baked beans for a year and buy them all.

If you’re a Sony fan and have already picked up a PS4, no doubt you’re as pleased with your purchase as we were with ours. But there’s no denying that Nintendo’s creations have a certain appeal to them, and few of Sony’s first-party characters could ever compete with Mario et al. Thankfully, third-party retailer LUCKY D has you – and your PlayStation – covered, as they’re selling sticker skins for PlayStation 4 featuring everything from Pikachu to Evangelion‘s Asuka.

We’ve seen all manner of limited-edition PlayStation 4 case designs since the console’s arrival just over a year ago. Besides the beautiful real-wood PS4, few have really caught our eye, though, and for those who picked up their console at launch it can be irritating to see alternative designs coming out just months later.

LUCKY D, however, has a solution. With their “PS4 Skin Seals” PlayStation owners can deck out their console with all manner of alternative designs. Nintendo fans especially will be pleased to learn that the Japanese retailer stocks two special skins which permit the unholy matrimony of Nintendo and Sony to take place, offering a sticker set featuring Mario and friends, and another which turns your PS4 into everyone’s favourite yellow lightning rat, Pikachu.

According to their Amazon JP listing, the stickers come in pieces, covering the PlayStation 4 console itself, DualShock 4 controller, and even the tiny touch panel on the controller’s front. It looks like the stickers wrap right around the PS4, too, giving the underside a splash of colour – something which those who stand their console vertically will no doubt appreciate.
