We all know how much people loved Overwatch when it first came out, and it was a big hit. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Blizzard may have another PvP-oriented shooter in the works, and the latest job listing on their website says that they are looking for a “senior/principal game designer”, so they are definitely working on something new.
What kind of a PvP shooter could they be working on? Or maybe they are aiming to do something with Overwatch. We basically have no idea what Blizzard has in store for us, but if it’s as good as Overwatch was when it came out, we’ll be happy. The listing says:
“As a Senior or Principal Designer, you’ll work with numerous departments to shape the core gameplay experience for this unannounced project by defining the abilities, powers, and weapons our players will use,”
“The ideal candidate will design and implement great game experiences while helping to foster a creative and energetic environment. You have proven experience in game design, a strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis, outstanding people skills, boundless creativity, and extensive knowledge and passion for competitive first-person shooter games.”
It is Blizzard, after all, so they are looking for someone who has a lot of experience, who has worked at least five years in this industry. You also have to really like playing and creating PvP games, as it seems like this new project that they’re working on will have a big emphasis on player versus player gameplay. We hope that they give us any sort of information about this new project soon, as we can’t wait to see what kind of game we’ll be getting from them!
