Now, before anyone starts screaming “CLICKBAIT”, bear in mind that these are merely speculations about the release date of Cyberpunk 2077.
Now that we got that out of the way, let’s talk about this alleged release date for Cyberpunk 2077. In a DSOgaming article, we found out that a Turkish publisher made some statements on Twitter. These statements say that Cyberpunk 2077 is coming out in 2019. To be fair, you shouldn’t trust any leaks no matter what unless the developers confirm them. But, this tweet does come from people that published The Witcher 3 in Turkey. Since then the tweet has been deleted so that makes things even weirder.
It isn’t strange for certain publishers to reveal a release date of a game on accident. Others speculate that these things are done on purpose in order to increase hype and attention to a product. No matter what the fact may be, it’s still strange to see that tweet deleted. And no one from CD Projekt Red has said anything about this particular incident. Maybe it wasn’t important, or maybe it really was a silly mistake. No one knows.
We don’t think the game is coming out this early. There is no way the title goes from Alpha to Finished in one year. At least we think they can’t. Maybe they can and end up surprising us with a 2019 release date.
