Starlink Battle For Atlas Gets New Features Via Update

While not the biggest release from Ubisoft this year, Starlink Battle For Atlas was still a very solid release of a potential new franchise. As it not only brought some great tactical spaceship gameplay, but it also brought in some unique content for is Nintendo Switch version, which seems to be the most popular of the bunch. Still, all the versions are getting the attention they deserve. To prove this, Ubisoft has released a new update that adds many features to all version of it.

For example, to those who don’t have the full color spectrum in their eyes, Ubisoft has implemented a Colorblind mode feature so that you can play the game based on your capabilities:

In order to improve our accessibility features, we are implementing Colorblind modes which will include support for deuteranomaly, deuteranopia, protanomaly, protanopia, tritanomaly and tritanopia.

While this obviously won’t help everyone, it is a nice move by Ubisoft to do.

In terms of “Quality of Life”, the game will have some improvements done to its scanner, as it was a bit lacking in some areas:

We are introducing the “already scanned” tags on creatures that have been scanned previously and useful hotlinks to the database that will unlock when a new entry is discovered.

Naturally, there were also some bug fixes in Starlink Battle For Atlas, you can see a few of them below:

• Fixed an issue where crashed drakes missions reset after completion and fully clearing the planet.
• Fixed an issue where the elemental offence grants Non-Allied Units the use of Elemental Weapons after an Equinox Upgrade.
• Fixed an issue where towable objects acquired from outposts during help missions are disappearing or getting destroyed at various random locations in the game.
• Fixed an issue where Crush Giants are not reacting to player’s actions if the giants are spawned from certain types of Extractor.
