Moons of Madness Finally Brings Lovecraftian Horror To Space

Moons of Madness introduces the eerie sense of isolation and terror of Lovecraftian origins and brings it to Mars.

Moons of Madness

Oh boy, since the horrors that Lovecraft got conjured up in his works of fiction they have been classified as cosmic horror. Now we finally get to visit the cold and empty space as we roam around Mars and look for answers for the ongoing insanity that can consume you if you peer into the abyss too many times. It is using the Secret World IP, but this is a singleplayer experience. That is strange, but universe building could be great if Funcom wants to really use all the potential that this IP offers.

The announcement trailer looks quite spooky, with a lot of tentacles, creepy figures lurking in the shadows, and enthralling madness. Basically everything that H.P. Lovecraft is known for today. Moons of Madness is arriving on the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in 2019 on Halloween.

Everyone wants to see exactly how this title is going to play out, right now it looks like a Dead Space game that toned down the action sequences and replaced with a lot of terrifying scenes that have an incredible atmosphere. Do we like it? Heck yeah we do, and the fact that this will expand the wonderfully terrifying Secret World lore the hype just increases.
