Token Throttling Affecting Faction Rally in Destiny 2

Yesterday, we saw the first faction really going live in Destiny 2. However, like many things with the sequel, it doesn’t seem to have gone to plan in a number of ways. Since the faction rally was implemented, players over on Reddit have stated that there are throttles on faction tokens which are earned through numerous activities, as well as issues with weapon reward drops, both of which are being investigated by Bungie.

It seems that only some players are being affect however, with some stating that “public events are working just fine… I’ve been completing them as fast as I can and didn’t notice any lockouts.” Meanwhile, other comments state: “I just did four public events… one gave me tokens, the other three didn’t.”

Bungie community manager Cozmo has since responded, stating that he is “looking into this now. I’m seeing others in the thread who are stating the public events are not affected by the throttle.”
Players should expect more clarification on the matter soon, with Bungie promising that they are looking to rectify what’s gone wrong.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking to check out the new blockbuster sequel, you can do so as Destiny 2 is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
