Call Of Duty: WWII Gets New Hotfix

For games that have many components, ones that have a lot of weapons or abilities, or characters for players to use, there’s a lot of give and take that goes on with it. After all, you need to have balance in the game, else there will be unfair advantages or disadvantages. The Call of Duty series is a perfect example of this, as they constantly are adding new weapons, new maps, new classes, all of which can disrupt the gameplay and flow. Call of Duty: WWII has seen a few of these, and a hotfix has now been added to adjust some of them.

On Reddit, one of the Call of Duty: WWII team noted the changes that came via the hotfix. Several weapons got adjusted. The FG 42 had its recoil and firing rate buffed, the Grease Gun had its ADS transition time buffed, as well as its recoil adjusted to “give the player more control.”

Both the Kar98k and the Lee Enfield had their ADS transition time buffed, the Combat Shotgun had its damaged nerfed a little (but the team noted that it’s still well above where it was at the beginning of the games time). And finally, the Sawed-Off Shotgun had its damage buffed, the number of bullets it’d take to kill buffed, its reload time buffed, but its hip spread nerfed.

Guns weren’t the only things getting adjusted, the maps also had some touches done to them. In Sainte Marie du Mont, the defensive spawn points in Seek and Destroy got moved a bit. And the Capture The Flag positions for the flags themselves also got moved.

The Call of Duty: WWII made sure to note that they want your feedback on the hotfix:

“So get in there, test it all out, and let us know what you think. Your feedback is very important to us, and we really appreciate all of it. Keep it coming.”

And let us know what you think of the hotfix, and what Sledgehammer Games should fix next.
