Season 2 of Fortnite Has Been Extended

If you’re a fan of Fortnite and have been patiently waiting for season 3 to get underway, you might have to wait a bit longer it seems.

The game has been busy over the past few weeks, more recently with the Valentine’s Day patch V.2.5.0 for Battle Royale and Save The World. The update that saw the SMG weapon removed was also delayed by a day, which also brought Lunar New Year skins for players to enjoy.

Meanwhile, the new Spring It On event is fast approaching, though the long awaited patch to bring in season 3 was unfortunately delayed, after it was confirmed on Twitter that season 2 has been extended until February 21st.

The tweet reads:

“Season 2 has been extended through February 21! Have you finished your Battle Pass yet?”

Therefore, it’s more than likely that season 3 for Fortnite will launch the following day on Thursday, February 22nd. This would make sense, given that Epic Games usually releases patches on Thursdays too.

Meanwhile, fans can also expect to see a number of exciting limited time modes coming to Battle Royale over the course of the next few weeks. These are said to include modes such as ‘The Floor is Lava,’ a faster game mode with ‘Blitz,’ and a reworked 50v50 mode.

Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
