Dragon Ball FighterZ First Two DLC Characters Confirmed

Dragon Ball FighterZ is a hit. The game has sold over 2 million units since its launch in late January, and players from all over all loving the unique blend of visuals and fighting game style that the game offers. But, what might be one of the biggest assets to the title is the roster. For it spans both the classic Dragon Ball Z anime, and the recent Dragon Ball Super series. And now, it’s going to go even deeper via its first official DLC characters.

There was a leak that happened just after the game released that revealed a ton of new potential fighters that could come to the game. But now, the latest episode of V-Jump has revealed that Broly and Bardock are going to be the first two official characters to join Dragon Ball FighterZ via DLC.

If you’re not familiar with these characters, don’t worry, we have the breakdown for you.

Broly (on the left) was featured only in some Dragon Ball movies (hence expanding the roster into another level of the anime). He was another survivor of the destruction of Planet Vegeta, but not in the way that Goku, Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz were. You see, Broly was believed to be the next Super Saiyan, and was given certain things because of it. However, his love of battle and destruction (as well as Goku’s crying when they were kids) drove him mad. And when he found Goku on Earth, he wasn’t happy to see him to say the least.

As for Bardock, well…if you can’t tell, that’s Goku’s father. He’s only had a limited role within the series, but the details we do learn about him are actually kind of cool. Including that he was on the front lines when Frieza blew up Planet Vegeta.

There are no release dates for either character, but, we expect to hear something somewhat quickly.
