The new cute hamster hero that’s arriving in Overwatch will be here soon. He is called Wrecking Ball, and even though he’s cute and charming, he still has a heavily armed mech-ball and he can run you over with it.
Like it always goes with a strange new addition like a hamster with a hamster ball, the Overwatch community will be split into a group that hates him and a group that adores him. We absolutely love everything about Wrecking Ball, and he looks like he’s going to be a really fun Overwatch hero. Let’s be honest here, who wouldn’t like to play as a genetically-enhanced hamster that was genius enough to create his very own battle mech?
But, don’t think that he’s harmless just because he is cute and small, as his mech is a force to reckon with. It has a grappling claw, mines, shields, and quad cannons, so you might want to approach him very carefully if you see him. If that isn’t enough to scare you, keep in mind that Wrecking Ball didn’t earn this name accidentally, so try not to get run over by him.
Anyhow, Blizzard made a short little video on Twitter which you should check out that tells us when exactly Wrecking Ball makes his debut in Overwatch. Don’t worry, you won’t have to wait for long, as he’s coming on July 24th.
