If you enjoyed the release of Cuphead earlier this year, then fear not for the future of the game. Studio MDHR founders Chad and Jared Moldenhauer have confirmed that there are big plans coming for Cuphead and Mugman, who will most definitely be making a return in the future.
The brothers confirmed that even though Cuphead has taken the gaming world by storm since release, it is only the beginning of their journey. The game was well received thanks to its art style and challenging difficulty, which also prompted a release of a line of POP! Vinyls.
When asked in a recent interview if Cuphead was a one-off, Jared stated that we are “Guaranteed” to see the adorable duo again at some point. He continued: “But as far as what are our plans, what are we distinctly doing next, there’s been zero time to really breathe or think.” Meanwhile, Chad added that they “would have had two 30-minute chats about the future.”
Cuphead released on Xbox One and PC earlier this year in September, and surpassed a million sales within a fortnight. The game has managed to win the hearts of many, with its 1930s-style visuals and intense difficulty level.
