We probably said this a couple of times already, but we are going to say it again, the best thing about PC gaming is the modding support. Giving tools to players so that they can make their own content is an amazing thing, and the developers of Dark & Light know that. They have officially released their Dev Kit, so that the fans of this medieval and mystical sandbox RPG can create their own items, creatures, adventures, and more.
We need more of these old school RPGs where you have dragons, magic, potions, undead, and so on. You know, your standard ingredients for a fantasy game. Dark & Light is a sandbox survival game set in a fantasy world, and while it does have a lot of potential, it is still an Early Access title so it has some issues. But, maybe the players can help with these issues now that they have access to the Dev Kit. On their official post, they said this:
We’d like to apologize for the delay in this announcement, but we wanted to be 100% sure that all of the pieces were in place beforehand. However, at this time, we are ecstatic to announce that the Dark and Light Dev Kit will be available for download tomorrow, Tuesday, 6/5, at 10 AM EST! The kit can be downloaded from the Epic Games Launcher which can be found here https://www.epicgames.com/site/en-US/home . We have some amazing content already being cooked up for the community, and we can’t wait to see all of the great ideas that our community has in store for us.
The community of the game can work together with the developers to fix all the issues that the title has, this isn’t anything strange. Now, we need to stand back and see how will this affect the development of Dark & Light and what kind of content will the fans create.
