Dauntless Servers Are Now Stable

For those of you that don’t know, the co-op action RPG, Dauntless, recently sailed into open beta waters, but it seems like it wasn’t ready for all the players that wanted to try the game. Matchmaking and wait times were kind of sluggish, but the development team behind the game reached out to the players and said that the servers were finally stable. You can’t really blame them, as it’s hard to prepare a game for an open beta, as you can never know if 10, 000 players will come to play it, or if 100, 000 are going to rush in to see the new game and how it plays.

Dauntless

This is a title where you and your friends go and hunt these terrifying Behemoths, extremely powerful and scary beings that give awesome loot when you defeat them. The players are known as Slayers, and basically, you go from one Behemoth to another, killing as many as you can, but keep in mind that each of these creatures is like a final boss, with powerful attacks and sturdy defenses. It sounds like an interesting title, and a lot of players seem to think that way as the servers had a lot of trouble with the number of players entering the game. On their Reddit post they said:

While the queue is empty now, it may fill up again. The queue exists to regulate the speed and volume at which Slayers are admitted into the game. If there is a massive increase in the number of people attempting to log in, we may have to queue them in order to ensure that the game continues to run smoothly for everyone.

A lot of improvements were made to Dauntless’ matchmaking, and they will continue to work hard to make the servers as stable as possible.
