Most players like your standard horde mode. It’s pretty simple and effective, you get a lot of enemies to kill in all sorts of ways, and then get some awesome loot if you manage to survive until the end. The upcoming Warmind expansion for Destiny 2, which is coming tomorrow mind you, is bringing all kinds of content to this multiplayer shooter, and one of the features is Escalation Protocol, a horde mode.
The Escalation Protocol is a player-triggered event, that’s also public, where you and your buddies get to fight waves of ugly aliens. That’s what the Destiny games are all about, so find some friends to come with you and go at it. When you find the Escalation Protocol, you then have to activate it. After that, there are seven waves of alien bastards that you need to kill in order to get your hands on some exclusive new weapons and armor.
There’s even a new Raid Lair for you to try to clear, but it’s coming on May 11. It’s the Spire of Stars, and it’s launching at 10:00 AM PT, so keep an eye out for that. As you already know, Warmind is the second expansion that’s coming out for Destiny 2, and it is bringing new activities, new weapons and gear, more endgame content, and an all-new story to the game.
