Fortnite is a game that truly adapted to the times it was in. When the game was announced many years ago (like 2011), it was a very specific kind of game. You would build your fort up and try to survive a zombie invasion. The look was very cartoonish, and stylish, making it feel like something straight out of a cartoon. But, fast forward to 2017, and things changed. It took a bit more of a modern approach to things, and when it launched, it did ok. But then…it added Battle Royale mode.
Fortnite Battle Royale became something very special, as it actually beat PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to the punch in terms of bringing a full-on battle royale game to consoles. Now, this did cause controversy, as PlayerUnknown himself stated that they straight up “copied” his mode and just put it in their game with maybe one change. However, the result worked, sales skyrocketed, and the game now has over 1 million concurrent players between the systems it’s on, and it’s growing.
As such, the team wants to celebrate the new year by highlighting what you the player felt were the best moments of 2017 for Fortnite.

Considering how much has been added to the game in the months since its release, you could put a lot of things, it just matters what resonated with you the most.
