We have heard rumblings for a while now, but a brand new trailer confirms that Freddy Krueger will be joining the killer ranks in the asymmetrical horror game, Dead by Daylight.
The game already offers some recognizable horror antagonists such as Halloween’s Michael Myers and Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as well as a number of original characters concocted by the game’s developers. Whilst the trailer doesn’t offer much in terms of Freddy’s abilities, he certainly looks like he will be terrifying us for many nights to come.
Freddy will be available in the game from today on Steam, with PC players seemingly getting first dibs on the new character. When he will appear in the dreams of console players however does remain to be seen, though he could appear this weekend in time for Halloween.
Dead by Daylight’s Halloween event is now also underway, with the All Hallows’ Eve Bloodhunt offering players double bloodpoints until October 31st, ending at Midnight UTC.
Dead by Daylight is now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Hopefully it won’t be long until console players will have the opportunity to experience the terrifying entity from A Nightmare on Elm Street before Halloween arrives.
