Friday the 13th Devs Detail Virtual Cabin

The VR aspect of Friday the 13th: The Game has been detailed by developers Gun Media, with the experience entitled The Virtual Cabin. The previously shown version 1.0 was built through an add-on of the game’s successful Kickstarter campaign, featuring a rather straightforward experience with a few easter eggs here and there. Given the positive response from fans, the devs have decided to go back to the drawing board and work on it.

The VC has been made much bigger, with the entire layout being revamped. There is now much more content than before, with additional puzzles, easter eggs and props that you might recognize from both the game and the films in the franchise. The developers in their notes even nod towards the horror experience PT, by stating “We liken this experience to a certain crazy good/fun horror demo that got canceled.” Rest assured however, this won’t be a PT rip-off of any sorts, as they emphasize that it will be a unique Friday the 13th experience, with a terrifying first-person outing that will offer up jump scares galore.

For those who bought the original Virtual Cabin, you can access it through Steam, however this 2.0 version is accessible through PC, Xbox One and PS4 via the game’s main menu. It can be found in the Singleplayer section of the menu, should you choose to check it out.
