LoL: New Mordekaiser Rework Shown In Action

Riot Game can look forward to an even more oppressive AP bruiser in the new LoL rework for the Iron Revenant.

Riot Games gave us a glimpse yesterday. The new Mordekaiser rework looks crazy. He’s going to become a top-lane demon that devours anyone that can’t deal with him 1v1. Why? Because this fella now has an ability to duke it out with only one person, without any meddling from heroes or even minions.

That’s right, his new ultimate, Realm of Death, takes him and his target away from reality into a special area. No one can be here besides Morde and his target. Then, you can either kill the enemy or wait for 7 seconds to pass to escape this hell. When a target dies, you steal their stats for a period of time. So, when you want a manly one on one duel in LoL, this is the perfect ability for that.

Now, let’s talk about his regular abilities. Mordekaiser’s passive is called Darkness Rise. A grim name and a grim ability, this passive summons an AoE field that deals MAX HP damage around him once Morde lands 3 attacks or 3 spells on the enemy champion or epic monster. A speed boost is also given, you deal magic damage with your auto attacks, and the passive can be reset as you keep on attacking. Obliterate is his Q. Smashes the ground in front of him and deals damage. Pretty standard.

W, Indestructible, stores a percent of his damage dealt and received. Activate it once to gain a shield, or tap the ability to get a percent of that damage as healing. Death’s Grasp, his E, is very similar to Darius’ E. It pulls enemies towards you and gives Morde flat AP penetration.

You can check out all of his abilities in Voyboy’s new video which perfectly shows all of them in action. Mordekaiser is definitely going to be a top lane bully. A kind that you can beat in lane only if you have the power to burst him down quickly. Otherwise, he can sustain off of his and your damage and stick to you until he beats you to a pulp with his giant mace-like weapon.
