PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Issues Week 20 Update

The team behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has issued an update for players regarding what has been fixed in the week 20 patch, which is scheduled to be added to the Test Servers at some point today, followed by a release on the Live Servers tomorrow.

The bug fixes focus on a number of different changes. Character animation has been improved, primarily when using throwables whilst you are prone. Improvements have also been made to the wrist positions on the steering wheel, but the patch is mainly centered around actual fixes. For example, bugs have been addressed for voice chat being disabled on the Starting Island, one that causing characters to stand before crouching when revived, and another that stopped players from rebinding Unarm to an alternate key. Problems with changing graphics, quality and effects has also been fixed whilst changing the settings, and a visual error with the scope if a player is spectating in prone on a hill.

Client optimization will also play a big part in the update, which optimizes both UI and the game’s performance for 6-core CPU or higher. Another note regards sound effects, which has seen the decrease in volume on motorbike engines and vehicle skid sounds.
