PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Working On New Content

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues to go from strength to strength, especially where concurrent users of the game is concerned. Having recently set the record for the most concurrent user record on Steam with 1.5 million players, this record has been smashed further by the game by attracting 2.3 million concurrent players, and it is still in early access.

Such is the success of PUBG that developers Bluehole have even managed to form their own company with the PUBG Corporation. Back on the subject of concurrent users, this new record is almost three times the one the game set back in August, which was aided by an update which brought a first-person aspect to the game, rather than just the third-person view it started with, making it popular among the FPS fan base.

As for what is coming next, the team is working on a new desert map, with PUBG Corporation looking to add more content to the game. As well as this, there will also be a new vaulting and climbing system which will change up the mechanics of how players move. Though this might take a little longer than fans may like, the game is still in early access, and will probably need to take as much time as possible in order to implement new content.
