PUBG Corp. Donates $2 Million to Charities

It would be safe to assume that PUBG has racked up a lot of money since it launch, attracting over 30 million players from around the world in what has been one of the fastest rising games in a long while. And now, developer PUBG Corp. has announced that they will be donating $2 million to a number of charities.

These charities include PUBG Extra Life marathon, Gamers Outreach and another campaign that will be getting underway at some point this year. Last summer at Gamescom, PUBG crates were sold, which is where the profits have come from to donate to charity.

PUBG community manager Sammie Kang commented: “It’s been great to see content creators and their audiences using their talents for worthy causes, and PUBG Corp. is committed to supporting charity efforts with the same enthusiasm our players have shown. We’ve made an impact in the gaming world over the past year, and we’re hoping to have even more of an effect on some outstanding charitable organizations in 2018.”

It’s great to see that the game’s developers are committing to such a worthy cause. If you are yet experience it, then PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is now available on PC, as well as Xbox One via the Xbox Preview program.
