PUBG Is Constantly Losing Players

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that PUBG is constantly losing players, as other titles caught onto its appeal but did it better, and yes, we are talking about Fortnite. Once you fall behind in a genre race, especially in a genre race that is currently as trending as the Battle Royal one is, you can’t return to your former glory. We can see that being the case here, as PUBG has been gradually losing players since January, and it seems like the situation won’t get better with time. The Peak Player count dropped by a whopping million when you compare January and the last 30 days, which is quite a significant decrease.

In a PCGamesN article, we have found out that the average number of players in PUBG has been steadily decreasing over time. You can check out the SteamCharts for the information, and you will see that more and more people end up leaving the game. This isn’t anything random, of course, as you can see on the game’s Steam page that this Battle Royal shooter still isn’t as optimized as it could be, and the hacker problem is only getting worse.

We can only hope that things get better, but if the developers don’t put their head back into the game and start fixing some of these issues, PUBG is going to end up as a dead game with a dead player base, which would be a shame for a title that was once so popular.
