Support Arbiter on Kickstarter

Arbiter is an action single-player game developed by an indie developer known as Jordan Scott who worked on quite a few games before deciding to make a game all by himself. In the game, you play as Ashe,  a newly appointed Arbiter and his role is to take care of all the demonic spirits that are slowly but surely destroying the world.

There are two types of these demonic spirits: Ethers(White) and Umbras(Black). Being the Arbiter gives Ashe the unique possibility to switch between these two types, making him the only one that can defeat them. If the same type that Ashe is switched to attacks him, the damage will be absorbed while if he gets attacked by the opposite, the damage will be inflicted.

Arbiter

The combat of Arbiter is easy to use yet hard to master type of combat that challenges you to learn both types of Ashe as well as possible. Pretty much everything from enemies to your own resources can affect the form that Ashe is using. It’s heavily influenced by games such as Mega-man, Dark Souls, Ikaruga, Kingdom Hearts, and more.

Arbiter

The story goes that a long time ago, there were two powerful spirits known as Dove and Raven which chose to help the humans by gifting their powers to one of the humans which became the first ever Arbiter. Because of this, spirits lost the war with the humans but some still managed to stay alive.

Slowly, the spirits became more powerful than ever and the Arbiter’s body couldn’t hold up the power anymore. Each Arbiter had to pass the powers to the youth as their bodies grew old and weak. This system was working until the sixth Arbiter got killed by a demon known as The Grey. In his final moments, he managed to give the powers to Ashe which now has the task of saving the world with the help of Dove and Raven’s powers.
