Thanks to the recent release of the Xbox One X, we have seen vast improvements made to the critically acclaimed RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The technical performance of CD Projekt RED’s effort was considered weakest on the Xbox One by many, so to hear that it is now a cut above the competition will be pleasing to Xbox fans.
The patch recently arrived accompanied by an advanced tab button, which can be found in the display options. From here, you can choose from either 4K Mode or Performance Mode, with 4K obviously bringing graphics of that power at a locked 30 FPS on a UHD display. Super-sampled visuals and 60 FPS can be expected for 1080p TV owners meanwhile.
As for Performance Mode, this offers a priority frame-rate over maximum visual fidelity, which uses a dynamic resolution system to target 60 FPS. Either of the two modes are able to offer you high-dynamic range video too.
A PS4 Pro HDR input will be coming soon according to the developers of the game, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out compared to the Xbox One X.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
