Anthem Director Gives Update On Game

Bioware has had a bit of a rough patch of the last few years. Mass Effect Andromeda wasn’t the game that many hoped it would be, and their upcoming game Anthem has already been delayed twice. This has left many to wonder whether the team can still deliver the “goods” like they did back in their hayday. One person who doesn’t seem to be worried is Casey Hudson, who has been with Bioware since near the beginning, and is working on their new title now.

In a blog post, Casey Hudson had wonderful things to say about Bioware. But most importantly of all, he gave an important update on Anthem:

“Last week, the Anthem team passed its Alpha milestone – meaning that every part of the game is in, and functioning. It’s a ton of fun to play, and full of engaging character moments and storylines.”

Being out of Alpha means that the game truly is progressing, and once it hits beta, gamers will be able to test it out for themselves more.

But Hudson also took time to note how much the team is enjoying exploring and having fun in their new world that they’ve made:

“But it’s also exciting to see people around the office (and at our partner studios) grouping together for adventures in this new world we’ve created. BioWare games have always been about capturing a shared experience – whether through a party of fictional characters or other players – and somehow the idea of players being immersed together in the universe of Anthem makes the setting seem even more real.”

Hudson also went back in time to talk about his beginnings with the company, and likened how they were during the Baldur’s Gate days to where they are now. It seems the company is determined to make Anthem great.
