Batman Title Coming From WB Montreal Featuring Court Of Owls?

If you look back at the last decade of gaming, you’ll see that three titles broke the mold in terms of what a comic book video game should be. No, it’s not Spider-Man, or Marvel vs Capcom, it’s the Batman Arkham trilogy. These games proved that a comic book world could be wonderfully translated into the realm of video games without losing what makes them special, and though Rocksteady (the team behind the trilogy) have moved on from The Dark Knight, that doesn’t mean everyone has.

In fact, it’s been rumored for quite some time that WB Montreal, who made the spinoff game Arkham Origins, has been working on a new Batman title for a while now. And to help prove that, a member of the team posted a pic of her in a shirt with an owl-like logo. Which has gotten many thinking that the Court of Owls are about to make their video game debut.

But that was weeks ago (and just got noticed), a few days ago, another member of the team noted that they would be in LA around The Game Awards, but not to show off anything, but to do something just as important:

If I wanted to be shameless and misleading, I’d casually drop that a few of us from Team [REDACTED] will be in LA this week at the same time as @thegameawards. But truthfully…

We’re not doing the glamorous part of the job just yet. We’re headed down to meet with our WB partners and showcase the team’s hard work and share our excitement. I know how anxious the fans are to hear something… Please be patient!

As for who the Court of Owls are, they are a group of people who have been “guiding” Gotham City around since near the beginning of the city’s creation. They even had a hand in creating the Grayson family line. Born in the New 52 of DC Comics, they quickly became on of Batman’s worst enemies. So if they’re coming into the games, it’s going to be big.
