Call Of Duty: WWII Patch Nerfs Overpowered Weapon

One of the backbones of war games is that the arsenal of weapons you can use is vast. But, that also means that there are a lot of balancing issues to be fixed. For Call Of Duty: WWII, there was an interesting thing going on with one of the weapons. It wasn’t “bad” per se, but it was definitely curious. For, you see, the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle aka the BAR, has been incredibly power and incredibly accurate since the launch of the game, making it one of the best weapons in the game by all measurements.

So…naturally, that had to stop. Because though having a “best weapon” is nice, it really shouldn’t happen as that makes you lean away from other guns and weapons in the title. So, developer Sledgehammer Games has made a patch that makes the gun a bit more realistic. Mainly, they bumped up the recoil on the gun, which in turn makes it so that the BAR isn’t as accurate, and thus less of a surefire kill shot.

Sledgehammer Games has been trying to do a lot of adjustments in the game as of late, the biggest one being the Headquarters feature in the game. The social function was meant to bring a lot of players together in a camp like setting, but, bugs and server issues made that impossible. A recent fix though has made it so now players can enjoy each others company on the beaches of Normandy.

There are some fixes though that players think should be addressed, including the “flinch”, which occurs after being shot. Many think it’s a bit too much, and should be adjusted, but no word if it will as of yet. Although, Sledgehammer did adjust the training that could counter the flinch, so maybe that’ll be next in line? Hard to say at present, but no doubt Call Of Duty: WWII will continue to evolve as time goes on.
